Sita Shahi (20) : Sita is a college student as well as in charge of the home. She has recently completed her +2 education and is working in child home to teach children, management of the home and keeping children disciplined.
Laxmi Shahi (25) was stranded in her mother-in-law’s house in a water and food shortage area. She had no means of supporting herself, no husband (because he’s been living in India and providing no support), and no respect (because she is childless). From this difficult situation, we have hired her and placed her in a house full of children. She nutures the children, treating them all fairly, even those of lower caste. She also earns a steady income of her own!
Kabita Thapa (43) is our new local staff in home. Since Krishna Deuja (52) left the work we were looking for a committed and long term staff and get her as the best person to work for children. She was widowed over a year ago, when her husband died on the fifth year of transforming the kidney valve. She has one daughter and one son staying with her in children’s home.
